On behalf of FAITH, we would like to express our gratitude towards the Finance Minister of India, Nirmala Sitharaman for the enhanced allocation of Rs. 2,500 crore to India’s Ministry of Tourism. The allotment was made to expand 100 airports by 2024 and soon-to-be-introduced Tejas Express trains for all the famous destinations in the country. These attempts are advancements in modern infrastructure that promises glorious period for Indian tourism.
Brand “Made in India” shines in this Budget and gets strengthened even more with the improvement of five iconic archaeological heritage sites in India and displaying India through a tribal and maritime museum. At the same time, four existing museums will be raised and developed to world standards to boost cultural tourism.
Medical inbound tourism, by now is already on the rise, will get an additional boost with the addition of Tier-II and -III hospitals. The declaration of setting up a national-deemed university for heritage tourism will intensify heritage tourism in India. This is bound to have a multiplier impact in terms of employment as well as economy aiding wealth creation for the country.
