Hôtel Barrière Le Westminster in Le Touquet-Paris-Plage (France) has unveiled its Suite 007 experience, pairing an exclusive stay in the hotel’s Bond-inspired suite with private access to beach cabin No. 7.
The concept is simple: check into 007, then take the Bond lifestyle to the beach.
Guests staying in Suite 007 receive privileged access to the No. 7 beach cabin throughout September. The setup comes ready for a day beside the English Channel, with deck chairs, a parasol, beach towels and games.
The experience also includes the hotel’s signature 007 cocktail, served at the Bar du West. Created by head bartender Florian Planque, it combines Havana Club, Martini Riserva Speciale Rubino, fresh lime juice and a dash of Angostura bitters.
Where Bond mythology meets Le Touquet
The connection between Le Touquet and James Bond goes deeper than a clever room number.
Ian Fleming, the creator of 007, reportedly drew inspiration from his stays in Le Touquet, where he visited a friend’s forest villa. Both men shared a passion for gambling, helping feed Fleming’s imagination for the fictional resort of Royale-les-Eaux in the Bond universe.
Le Westminster has its own place in the Bond legend. It is said that Sean Connery signed his first contract to play James Bond at the hotel’s Bar du West in 1962, shortly before becoming the first actor to portray 007 on the big screen.
Connery was not the only Bond connection. Roger Moore also stayed at Le Westminster several years later.
Now, the hotel is turning that cinematic history into a guest experience.
The number seven runs throughout the package: Suite 007, beach cabin No. 7 and the signature 007 cocktail.
For Bond fans, it is less about watching the spy lifestyle on screen and more about stepping into it – at least for a few days, while enjoying the magnificent art deco-style property with all its glamorous settings!
