Alexandria, VA; September 14, 2026 – The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) today opened member voting for the 2027 ASTA Globes, giving members the opportunity to recognize the travel advisors, agencies and industry partners making a meaningful impact on the profession. Voting will remain open through October 23, 2026.
Following its inaugural celebration in 2026, the ASTA Globes will return to the Palmer House in downtown Chicago on January 21, 2027. The invitation-only ceremony will spotlight standout achievements from across the travel advisor community and celebrate the people and organizations raising the bar for service, leadership and industry partnership.
“The inaugural ASTA Globes demonstrated how much this community values the opportunity to celebrate its own,” said Zane Kerby, ASTA President and CEO. “As we prepare to return to Chicago, we are once again placing the decision in the hands of ASTA members. Their votes will recognize the professionals and partners whose work is shaping a stronger future for travel advisors.”
ASTA members are invited to submit nominations for the advisor and member organization awards and cast their votes for the supplier awards through the online ballot. Award categories recognize excellence in client service, professional leadership, community engagement and support for the travel advisor channel. Honorees will be announced during the celebration and presented with custom crystal awards recognizing their achievements. Additionally, the 2027 Emerging Leaders Awards, proudly sponsored by Travefy, will be presented during the gala, recognizing the next generation of leaders making their mark on the travel industry.
The ASTA Globes were created to give the travel advisor community a signature occasion to recognize excellence within its ranks. The program complements ASTA’s year-round work to advance the profession, strengthen industry relationships and reinforce the value travel advisors bring to travelers and the global travel marketplace.
ASTA has secured a special hotel block for attendees at the Palmer House, located at 17 East Monroe Street, Chicago, IL 60603, with standard room rates starting at $155 per night for stays from January 19–21, 2027. The booking deadline is December 20, 2026.
