Etraveli Group has entered a strategic agreement with Sabre Corporation to integrate PRECISION, its travel-specialist fraud prevention solution, into Sabre Direct Pay. The collaboration comes at a time when online fraud costs the global travel sector more than USD 21 billion annually, creating an urgent need for sector-specific protection that addresses complex booking and payment flows.
PRECISION, developed by EG Fintech Solutions, Etraveli Group’s fintech arm, is purpose-built for the travel industry and already processes multi-billion-dollar transaction volumes worldwide. Its integration into Sabre Direct Pay will allow travel sellers to intercept threats at the booking stage, embedded directly into their existing payment workflows.
Peny Rizou, Chief Fintech Officer of Etraveli Group and Head of EG Fintech Solutions, emphasised the importance of bringing fraud intelligence closer to core distribution and payment systems. “With Sabre, we’re bringing travel-specific fraud prevention where it’s needed – at the core of airline and agency operations. Born from travel and built on 25 years of Etraveli Group expertise, PRECISION is designed specifically for our industry and is uniquely attuned to its complexities and vulnerabilities. Together, we’re expanding access to solutions that are made for travel and strengthening the resilience of the entire ecosystem.”
Through the partnership, Sabre will offer access to PRECISION to a wide spectrum of travel merchants, including airlines, OTAs, consolidators, TMCs and other sellers. The solution will be available through a streamlined commercial and technical integration, enabling users to activate real-time risk decisioning without operational disruption.
For Sabre Direct Pay-connected travel providers, the addition of PRECISION enhances payment security by combining a dynamic fraud engine with advanced machine learning models, adaptive algorithms and travel-specific behavioural data. The system evaluates transactions in real time, helping travel merchants reduce false declines, prevent chargebacks, and protect revenue while accelerating fulfilment.
Patricio Boccardo, Managing Director of Sabre Payments, noted the significance of addressing payment risk within a single, intelligent workflow. “At Sabre, we know that payment complexity and fraud risk are two of the biggest barriers to growth in travel. By integrating PRECISION’s real-time fraud prevention into Sabre Direct Pay, we’re giving agencies and suppliers a smarter way to manage transactions – enhancing security, reducing fraud losses, and protecting revenue without adding unnecessary friction.”
The agreement advances Etraveli Group’s broader mission to strengthen the travel ecosystem through technology and global partnerships. By enabling real-time fraud checks at booking and across markets, the integration supports more secure digital transactions and helps travel businesses operate with greater confidence in an increasingly complex payments environment.
