Alipay+ Mini Programs are small mobile applications developed by third parties that allow users to book services, purchase products, and access exclusive discounts and promotions—all seamlessly within the Tinaba app. With these Mini Programs, users can enjoy a streamlined experience, bypassing the need to download separate apps, sign up for services, or use multiple payment platforms, whether in Italy or across the 26 other enabled countries worldwide. Tinaba users with Banca Profilo will have access to new Mini Programs at various digital and physical touchpoints, such as within the Tinaba app or via QR codes in-store.
For merchants and third-party developers, this integration opens up new opportunities. With a global user base of over 200,000 Tinaba users with Banca Profilo, Alipay+ now provides a powerful platform for its merchant partners to build and manage their own Mini Programs and embrace the wave of digital transformation.
The first Alipay+ Mini Program available on Tinaba with Banca Profilo is Tiqets, a global online booking platform. With Tiqets, the users will be able to easily purchase tickets to over 4,000 museums and attractions worldwide, all within the app through an intuitive and transparent user interface, simplifying the planning and payment process. This is just the beginning, with many more Mini Programs already being developed by merchants set to be added to Tinaba in the future, further expanding the range of services available to users inside its app.
Ant Group began its partnership with Tinaba and Banca Profilo in 2016, extending it to the Alipay+ solution in 2023, supporting users to make mobile payments at more than 2.5 million Alipay+ supported stores. Today, Tinaba users can make cross-border payments at Alipay+ merchants in 27 different countries, including Italy, enhancing the travel experience for users.
Ant International has already provided Alipay+ wallet partners in Asia, including AlipayHK (Hong Kong SAR, China), Dana (Indonesia), Livin’ by Mandiri (Indonesia), Touch ’n Go eWallet (Malaysia), and GCash (The Philippines), with the infrastructure to leverage the Alipay+ Mini Program solution. Tinaba will become the pioneering Super App in Europe using this technology, opening the door to a new digital ecosystem, benefitting global merchants.
