Yesterday, Uzakrota Travel Awards – the global initiative to recognize and reward excellence in travel and tourism – unveiled the 2020 winners of its World Leading categories. Skål International bagged the World’s Leading Tourism Association Category among eight other associations that got nominated for this category.
The voting started on January 25, lasting till midnight on February 5, 2021. Due to the competition, 182,475 votes were registered globally and awards were given in 45 categories. The awards will be presented to the winners at Uzakrota Global Summit in Istanbul at a mega event on December 2, 2021.
SI World President Bill Rheaume said, “I am humbled and honored by the news that Skal International was voted the World’s Leading Tourism Association by industry partners of the Travel Summit. Uzakrota is known as one of the “World’s Top 2018 Most Influential Tourism Events” by Netherlands-based Bidroom in the top 10, and is also known as one of the “World’s Top 2019 Events” by Japan-based HIS Travel. This year, it was named “World’s Top 10 Tourism Events” by South African Hepstar.
