Arkia Israeli Airlines announced that the carrier will launch direct flights to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates following the normalization agreement signed last month between Israel and UAE.
Arkia said the daily flights that will begin on January 3, 2021, can be booked today.
The flights will take about 3-4 hours and ticket prices start from $149 for a one-way ticket.
“The decision to start a flight line to Dubai was made after increasing requests from our customers, private business clients and many requests from groups organizing conferences," said Oz Berlowitz, CEO of Arkia.
Arkia is planning to launch flights to Bahrain and Sharjah and another city in the UAE.
The airline has also signed commercial agreements with tourism companies in the UAE and will offer vacation packages.

Arkia has been officially appointed as a designated carrier with scheduled international routes to several destinations: Paris (France), Munich & Düsseldorf (Germany), Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Copenhagen (Denmark), Stockholm (Sweden), Larnaca (Cyprus), Dublin (Ireland), Amman (Jordan), Barcelona & Madrid (Spain), Tbilisi (Georgia), Oslo (Norway), Helsinki (Finland), Amsterdam (The Netherlands), Yerevan (Armenia)and Kyiv (Ukraine).
Arkia has agreements with overseas airlines that include connecting flights to the USA and Far East (with GCC carriers), as well as connecting flights within Europe.
