The newest addition to the hotel scene in the coastal town of Limassol is Amara, brought by the Cyprus-based hospitality group Stademos Hotels.
The newly built hotel rooms and suites offer seamless views over the Mediterranean Sea and wider horizon. It is poised above a sandy beach in royal ancient kingdom of Amathus.
It has 207 guestrooms and suites and a 230 square metres presidential Amara Suite having its own private infinity pool which is a jewel in the crown.
SB Architects, , David Rockwell Studio and WA Interiors has intricately done the architecture and interior design of the new building.
The hotel’s interior was inspired by Cyprus’ intricate heritage,with cultural influences and architectural details which expresses the island’s Mediterranean landscape.
There is abundance of natural light into the rooms and suites due to the floor-to-ceiling windows. There are wooden lighting fixtures in the rooms filled with soft, sandy tones, blue and teal colour accents.

There are two distinct areas in the hotel , the spa wing made for adults and the family-friendly wind that comes with a swimming pool. There is a kids’s club and crèche for infants.
There are a number of one and two-bedroom seafront bungalow with a private pool that is separate to the central property. It has kitchenettes and can accommodate a maximum of six guests and is ideal for large groups and families looking for extra privacy.
