The Zed Rooms, a new boutique aparthotel opening in Shoreditch, London  will help guests experience a good night’s sleep similar of being in the womb.The serviced apartments is designed by experts to encourage the REM-rich slumber.

There are two rooms in each apartment –the Woom Room which is modeled on the womb and has intricate   cocoon-like bed made up of undulating wooden panels that wrap around the bed to create an encompassing 3D design, soft peach walls and muted lighting while the Loom Room has four-poster bed draped with white fabric that looks like clouds.

They are made up of Simba Hybrid mattresses temperature regulating pillows and duvets and Neom miniatures from its “Scent to Sleep” range.

Its sleep menu includes dishes rich in serotonin, melatonin and tryptophan which is created in partnership with Detox Kitchen.

To further promote relaxation there are yoga mats in the Penthouse terrace along with meditation sessions which are loaded onto the iPad’s Calm app to promote relaxation.
  
Hotel design contributor and resident sleep psychologist at Simba, Hope Bastine, said that sleep is an all-encompassing experience and every element matters. Designed intricately for quality sleep, fine tuning you overnight to navigate whatever life throws.

Earlier in September the Kimpton Everly Hotel in Los Angeles launched the world’s first ‘social experiment’ hotel which was designed to connect guests to the stories of the guests that have stayed in the room before them.

It was based on Kimpton’s belief that heartfelt human connections make peoples’ lives better and the idea that commonalities and connections exist between all people despite their background. It uncovers the intersections and variances of the human experience.
