Cyprus sees a continuous growth in tourism with the arrival of 3.2 million tourists in the first nine months of 2018 which is a 7.9% increase than 2017.
For the period of January-September 2018, this outnumbering tourists arrivals sees a positive side in travel and tourism industry.
The tourists arrivals from United Kingdom increased by 5.3% in the month of September 2018 compared to Sep 2017, while an increase of 1.7% was recorded for the tourists from Israel. The tourists arrival from Germany and Greece also increased by 3.0% and 4.0%.
There are around 88.3% of tourists opted for holidays and 1.9% for business.
Cyprus not only boasts the cleanest bathing waters in Europe, but now has 64 stunning beaches, which are considered as top listed beaches in the country.
As a part of its continuous effort to offer tourists the best quality beaches, the Cyprus Tourism Organisation has announced that 47 beaches are now accessible to the people with special access needs.
As the country has seen record number of visitors, the country is taking new tourism related investments providing many important advantages. In the last few years, following a positive incentive policy, on the part of government of Cyprus, the island has attracted a variety of new major tourism infrastructure projects to provide high quality accommodation services.
