JA Resorts and Hotels opens property in the Seychelles

Nested perfectly in the unspoiled greenery of Round Island in the Seychelles archipelago, designed with the creole architecture touch, and set to provide the perfect retreat for a relaxing getaway from our hurried lives is the newly opened Enchanted Island Resort.
With an impressive décor and setting, the resort which overlooks the Sainte Anne Marine Park, is an investment of the Shah family of the Seychelles.
Enchanted Island Resort, which started operations late last year, is the first international property managed and operated by JA Resorts and Hotels, a hospitality company based in United Arab Emirates.
The resort which boasts a boutique-style, has eight one-bedroom private pool villas and two Enchanted signature villas of two-bedrooms uniquely designed to reflect the traditional Seychelles’ architecture.
The official opening ceremony was held last Friday in the presence of former President James Mancham, the Acting Chief Justice, the President of the Court of Appeal, the Tourism and Culture Minister Alain St.Ange and Minister for Home Affairs and Transport Joel Morgan, leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly David Pierre, members of the diplomatic corps, members of the Shah family, representatives of the JA Resorts and Hotels, and other guests.
Minister St.Ange said this is a perfect case of Seychellois working to claim back the country's tourism industry.
“This is a perfect example of Seychellois claiming back the country’s tourism industry. Today we are witnessing a Seychellois family coming together and investing in a resort,” the Minister said.
“Seychelles needs to stay in line with its size and its perspective of preserving what we have, like what we are seeing here today on Round Island.”
Minister St.Ange added that when the Seychellois are involved in the country’s tourism industry, there is a willingness to work together in order to safeguard it, to protect it and to work together to consolidate it.
The Minister added that without tourism and the spirit of togetherness, we will not be able to deliver effectively for the nation.
Minister St.Ange congratulated the Shah family for investing in this establishment and for coming forward as active investors in the tourism industry.
“Today, we see a resort on an island, not an island that has become a resort. I congratulate the Shah family for their initiative, and for investing in the tourism industry,” Minister St.Ange added.
Minister St.Ange assured the Shah Family of the government’s continued support for the tourism industry of Seychelles. This statement was highly appreciated by one of the owners Sunil Shah, who in return thanked the government for supporting and encouraging his family’s new venture.
The two ministers along with the Shah family and the chief operating officer of JA Resorts and Hotels David Thomson had the honour to cut the ribbon, marking the official opening of the ceremony.
Guests arriving at the Seychelles International Airport, on the main island of Mahé, will take a 10-minute car transfer to the resort’s private boat jetty located at the Wharf Hotel and Marina for the 15-minute boat trip to Round island.
For those wanting a wedding and honeymoon destination, or a relaxing break with family and friends, Enchanted Island Resort is the perfect place to be the Resort's Management said.
