Romanian airline Tarom will launch a new flight from Luton to Iasi this October to serve the growing Romanian population in the UK.

Tarom said it would operate a B737-300 in a two-class configuration on the route twice a week from October 29.

Iasi is located in the Moldavia region and is one of the country’s leading cultural and artistic centres.

Tarom’s project director Sorin Georgescu said: “We are delighted to commence services to London Luton Airport located in close proximity to London, one of the most important centres for business deals and most exciting destinations for tourists in the world”. 

Luton’s managing director Glyn Jones added: “We are delighted that Tarom will shortly commence services. With convenient flight times, quality onboard service and competitive fares we are sure the Iasi flights with Tarom will be a great success.”
