So
as you may or may not know, Carnival Cruise Lines is testing an
all-you-can-drink program on many of their Fun Ships called Cheers!
(formerly My Awesome Bar Program). A program that was rolled out last
August, guests can opt to purchase an all-inclusive beverage package
for $42.95 (plus gratuities) per person, per day. Everyone over 21 in
the cabin must purchase the package, we assume to avoid sharing.
While
the unlimited beverage package may be old news, using it ashore is
not. If you purchase the beverage program on a Caribbean sailing
you’ll now be able to take it ashore to Carnival’s private
island, Half Moon Cay. Originally the plan only allowed guest to use
the beverage package on board but as Senior Cruise Director John
Heald posted on Facebook,
“… it can be used on our private island Half Moon Cay. Originally
we had not allowed this but as many of you requested for it we now
allow the program to be used while ashore there.”
Thirteen
total Fun Ships have the Cheers! all you can drink program,
including: Carnival Victory, Carnival Splendor, Carnival
Breeze, Carnival Dream, Carnival Conquest, Carnival Legend, Carnival
Miracle, Carnival Glory, Carnival Pride, Carnival Valor, Carnival
Freedom, Carnival Magic and Carnival Liberty.
The
beverage program is available to drinks under $10, up to 15 beverages
per person, per day.
