LONDON, UK – Aspire Pre-Flight Hospitality, the airport hospitality business of Swissport International, has named its new lounge at London City Airport 09:LDN Suite. The company announced the name on 20 October 2026, ahead of the planned early 2027 opening. The launch will coincide with the airport’s 40th anniversary.
Developed in partnership w
ith London City Airport, 09:LDN Suite will become the airport’s first and only passenger lounge. The concept will offer a London-inspired pre-flight hospitality experience to departing passengers.A lounge identity inspired by London City Airport
The name draws inspiration from the airport’s runway, officially designated Runway 09 to reflect its 090-degree compass heading. Meanwhile, the word “Suite” refers to the lounge’s hospitality offering.
The brand identity also features a line running through the ‘0’ in 09. This element references both the airport’s runway and the Greenwich Meridian, a global marker of place and time.
The lounge will draw inspiration from London’s contributions to art, gastronomy, hospitality and culture. In addition, the concept will provide passengers with dedicated space to relax before continuing their journeys.
Aspire describes the facility as an independent lounge, unaffiliated with any airline. Passengers travelling through London City Airport will be able to access it through online bookings or walk-in purchases. The company also plans to introduce an annual membership option in the future.
