SAS has expanded its offering with the launch of SAS Holidays, a brand-new travel product designed to meet the rising demand for integrated leisure travel solutions. The new concept allows customers to arrange their entire journey in one place, combining flights with accommodation, transfers and tailored extras. With this addition, SAS strengthens its position in the rapidly growing holiday segment.
SAS Holidays reflects the airline’s ambition to broaden its presence in the leisure market by enabling travellers to manage their entire trip through a single platform. The product will be actively promoted in the months ahead, with the campaign line “There’s holidays. And there’s SAS Holidays.” serving as a key message.
According to Aron Backström, VP Product & Loyalty at SAS: “This initiative not only enhances our customer experience but also strengthens SAS’ position in the growing leisure market. By offering quality-assured packages, EuroBonus benefits and competitive prices, we create new value for our travelers and new growth opportunities for SAS. SAS Holidays represents a natural next step in our ambition to be the first choice for both flights and holidays.”
SAS Holidays covers nearly all destinations across the SAS network. Travellers booking through the platform will earn EuroBonus points on the entire package, in addition to the existing points earned for flights, and will also receive 50 percent Level points. EuroBonus Silver, Gold and Diamond members retain their usual tier benefits – including seat selection, baggage and lounge access – when travelling with SAS Holidays.
Integrated booking of flights and hotels
In describing the added value of the new product, Backström states: “By bringing everything together in one place, SAS Holidays combines SAS’ reliable, industry-leading on-time performance with flexible, curated hotel options. This gives travelers greater convenience, trust, and value in a single booking experience.”
Developed in partnership with TripX Travel AB, SAS Holidays offers an extensive yet curated selection of quality-assured hotels. Options include accommodation not only in arrival cities but also in nearby regions, catering to diverse traveller needs – from short weekend breaks to extended family holidays. TripX is responsible for the package travel component, ensuring compliance with regulations and safeguarding customer protection.
SAS Holidays is available for purchase from points of sale across Europe, providing travellers with an effortless and well-curated way to plan their trips. The product encapsulates SAS’ broader vision of delivering a streamlined, reliable and value-driven leisure travel experience.
