The winter air travel season and a new chapter in your trip calendar have just begun. Although winter is often associated with shorter and colder days, many consider this particular season of the year to be the best moment to change their perspective, break away from the everyday routine and discover new places. Travel assumes a new meaning during that time of the year: some set off to enjoy the sun in the warmer parts of the world, while others seek the charm of a true winter in its most beautiful, natural form.
Therefore, LOT is about to turn winter into a highly diversified experience. You may indulge in the silence of Scandinavian fjords, feel the magic of Northern Lights, stroll in the shade cast by Andalusian palm trees and sit back on a terrace overlooking desert dunes - and all that in a single season. LOT Polish Airlines has compiled a summary of its 2025/2026 winter flight schedule - an inspiring mosaic of destinations that will allow each passenger to come up with their own way of dealing with winter.
Towards new, sunny destinations - Marrakesh, Istanbul, Malaga
Winter does not necessarily mean giving up the sun. On the contrary - it offers a perfect opportunity to seek its warmth where it shines the hottest! LOT Polish Airlines has launched new destinations that allow passengers to discover a wide variety of shapes, forms and sizes of the warm, southern weather.
Marrakesh is a Moroccan pearl that is full of colours, scents and oriental architectural gems. It is a perfect destination for a winter city break with a gentle oriental touch - a combination that is best enjoyed in the ancient medinas offering a vibrant mixture of lights, spices and sounds. The first scheduled LOT Polish Airlines flight from Warsaw to Marrakesh took off on October 29th this year, and the route will be operated twice a week - on Wednesdays and Saturdays, until 9 May 2026.
Another new winter destination will be launched by LOT Polish Airlines as early as on 14 January 2026. The carrier’s planes will connect Gdańsk with Istanbul, enabling the residents of Poland’s Pomerania region to travel to a city where two continents meet. Istanbul is a destination that is truly unique in character - it is full of history, different flavours and oriental energy. LOT’s planes will be operating from the Gdańsk airport four times per week - on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Malaga - the sunny capital of Costa del Sol, the city of Picasso, tapas and leisurely strolls along the Mediterranean coast - will be another destination to appear in the LOT Polish Airlines flight network in January. It is a perfect destination for those looking to escape the cold and indulge in the southern climate of Andalusia. It offers it all - picturesque beaches, a lively promenade and easy access to the most beautiful attractions of the region, including Ronda, Marbella or Caminito del Rey. The first flight from Warsaw to Malaga will take off on 15 January 2026 and the connection will be available four times per week - on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Effective from the end of February 2026, LOT Polish Airlines will increase the frequency of Warsaw-Malaga connections to six flights per week.
