As part of the rebranding initiative, the four hotels will be brought in line with the brand standards of Westin and Marriott Hotels to improve guest experiences and elevate service quality. Highgate Portugal will also spearhead a complete transformation of the public areas, guest rooms, and dining facilities across all properties, incorporating contemporary and upscale design elements. Renovation work is scheduled to commence in late 2024, with plans for all four properties to reopen in 2025.

The Westin Salgados Beach Resort in Algarve will introduce a luxurious beachside retreat, featuring 95 elegantly designed rooms and suites, along with 42 residences. Designed to accommodate both couples and families, the resort will boast direct beach access, six outdoor swimming pools, proximity to the prestigious 18-hole Salgados Golf Course, a Westin Kids Club, and signature wellness offerings, including the WestinWORKOUT® fitness studio, Heavenly® Spa, and dedicated RunWESTIN™ routes.
The Residences at Westin Salgados Beach Resort, offering one- to three-bedroom layouts, will present a unique opportunity for beachfront living in a resort-style atmosphere, available for private ownership.
Meanwhile, the Algarve Marriott Salgados Golf Resort & Conference Center will house the region’s largest conference facility, providing panoramic views of both the beach and golf course. The property will feature 228 rooms and suites, as well as event spaces, flexible meeting areas, and a 1,598-seat auditorium. Additionally, the resort will offer premium amenities, including four outdoor pools, a fully-equipped spa with a heated pool, jacuzzi, and various treatment rooms.
Within the same complex, the Marriott Residences Salgados Resort will offer 192 residences, ideally located beside the golf course and within walking distance of the beach. These family-oriented residences, available for private sale, will range from Junior Suites to three-bedroom suites. Guests will enjoy enhanced amenities, such as sports facilities including an outdoor gym, volleyball, tennis, and football courts, as well as 10 outdoor pools and a dedicated Kids Club featuring a playground, mini golf, and a range of family-friendly activities.
