DCL Fleet Will Double in Size in the Next Seven Years
The new quartet of ships is slated for delivery between 2027 and 2031. This will more than double the current fleet size within seven years. The fleet currently consists of five ships, with another four already in development.
“Expanding our fleet gives more people, in more parts of the world, the opportunity to experience a vacation at sea like only Disney can provide,” D’Amaro said. Disney Treasure was just recently floated out and joins the fleet in late 2024.
Disney Destiny and Disney Adventure will launch in 2025. The latter will be the largest vessel at over 200,000 GT and the first to homeport in Asia.
The line also recently agreed to a new partnership with Tokyo Disneyland operator Oriental Land Co., Ltd for a new ship dedicated to the Japanese market, which is expected to launch in 2029.
