Hyatt Regency Chennai has appointed Ashok Ram Kumar as the new Assistant Director of Food & Beverage. With over 16 years of extensive experience in the hotel industry, Ashok’s expertise in food and beverage operations is noteworthy.
Ashok holds a degree in Hotel and Catering Management from Jaya College of Arts and Science. His career is marked by exceptional customer service management, adept complaint handling, efficient retail operations, and a focus on enhancing guest satisfaction. He excels in team leadership, boosting sales and margins, and implementing cost-saving strategies, which have been crucial in his past roles.
Before joining Hyatt Regency Chennai, Ashok had a notable tenure at Hilton Chennai, where he served in various capacities, including Banquet Manager and Restaurant Manager. His achievements there include maintaining high hygiene standards, meeting budget targets during the pandemic, and earning multiple awards for his exceptional performance.
Ashok began his career at Hyatt Regency Chennai in August 2022 as an Outlet Manager. His remarkable performance earned him a promotion to Assistant Director of Food & Beverage in July 2023. In his new role, he will oversee all food and beverage operations, develop strategies to enhance guest satisfaction, and ensure the smooth functioning of the department. Ashok will work closely with the F&B management team to coordinate schedules, set goals, and drive operational success.
