First Hospitality adds IL Hyatt Place to portfolio

First Hospitality has assumed management and operations of the Hyatt Place Champaign/Urbana in Champaign, IL. The company will also manage Punch!, a bar and lounge at the hotel.

“Expanding our Hyatt brand footprint with the addition of the Hyatt Place Champaign/Urbana is a meaningful step in our growth strategy to further diversify our branded portfolio,” said David Duncan, president/CEO. “We also look forward to bringing a fresh energy to Punch! through new offerings and programming that will provide added value to this beloved local hot spot.”

Featuring 145 guestrooms, the property is located in downtown Champaign just over a mile from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The pet-friendly hotel features complimentary breakfast and WiFi, an indoor pool (opening March 31), a fitness center, meeting and event space, a lobby bar and a 24/7 espresso bar.
