Tourism Malaysia bids mabuhay at the Travel Tour Expo (TTE) 2022

Tourism Malaysia’s delegation to the 29th Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA), Travel Tour Expo (TTE) 2022 this year comes with a mission to promote Malaysia as a top destination for Filipino travellers.

Held at SMX Convention Centre, Manila from 24th to 26th June 2022, joining the Malaysian delegation are representatives from Ormond Hotel, Kuala Lumpur and Agro Best Services Sdn Bhd.

PTAA’s Travel Tour Expo has remained the biggest annual travel and tourism event in the Philippines.

In 2020, at least 400 tourism stakeholders including National Tourism Organisations (NTO) participated in the event, attracting at least 135,000 visitors.

Malaysia’s booth was officiated by H.E. Norman Mohamad, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Philippines.

For the record, the Philippine market remains among the top ten contributors in terms of tourist arrivals to Malaysia. Malaysia recorded 421,908 arrivals from the Philippines in 2019.

Malaysia has opened its shores for quarantine-free travel to welcome fully-vaccinated international travellers.

Fully-vaccinated inbound travellers no longer need to undergo pre-departure and on-arrival COVID-19 tests, including children aged 17 and below.

Travel insurance is also not a prerequisite for foreigners entering the country.
