Aeroflot provides high-speed Internet connection on 34 aircraft in 2021

 

In 2021, Aeroflot and STECCOM satellite communications operator provided high-speed Internet access on 34 A350, A320neo and A320ceo family aircraft. The service will also be available on seven brand-new A350 airliners, which Aeroflot will take delivery of in 2022.

Wi-Fi* Internet connectivity complements Aeroflot’s free in-flight entertainment system. Internet access is available worldwide across the airline’s route network. Aeroflot is the only Russian air carrier providing high-speed Internet connectivity on board. The airline considers this service an indispensable component of cutting-edge customer experience and plans to install in-flight broadband Internet on aircraft fleetwide. 

Aeroflot and STECCOM satellite communications operator have worked together since October 2017. At the first stage of cooperation, wireless in-flight entertainment system was rolled out on Airbus A320/A321 mid-size aircraft. Passengers in all classes of service enjoy free access to multimedia entertainment programs. Passenger can connect to onboard Wi-Fi via Internet browser on personal devices running on MacOS, iPadOS, iOS, Android, MS Windows platforms.
