Cycas Hospitality’s European expansion plans continue, following the signing of three hotel management agreements across the UK and Belgium so far this year.
The first property deal is with Eastern & Oriental (E&O) to manage the E&O Group’s inaugural European serviced apartment property; a 54-room luxury property in the heart of London.
Expected to open in autumn 2021, The Lincoln Suites will offer 28 one-bedroom suites, and 26 studios with high-end amenities, set within a converted 1920s neo-classical building in Holborn. Thanks to its central location along Kingsway in Westminster, guests will enjoy easy access to the capital’s transport local and national connections, including six London Underground lines within a nine-minute walk.
The hotel operator has also taken over the management of two Qbic-branded properties in the UK and Belgium; the 148-room Qbic Brussels in the vibrant Ixelles neighbourhood, south of the city centre, and the 261-room Qbic Manchester, which is set to open next month on a prominent site in the city centre. Both properties incorporate the brand’s Motley Bar & Restaurant plus meetings and gym facilities.
Asli Kutlucan, Chief Development Officer at Cycas Hospitality, said: “Given E&O’s reputation for providing exclusive developments for discerning travellers, we are delighted to be working together to help bring their distinctive style to Europe.
“With Cycas’s experience of successfully introducing both extended-stay and lifestyle brands to new markets, we’re excited about the opportunities to drive leisure and corporate business across three dynamic destinations.”
Founded in 2008, Cycas Hospitality is a pioneering hotel management company on a mission to make its hotels the best places to work as well as stay.
Operating across both the extended-stay and mainstream hospitality sectors, Cycas plans to triple its portfolio to more than 10,000 guest rooms across the UK and mainland Europe.
With proven expertise in operations, property development and asset management, Cycas is the preferred hotel operator for major international franchise brands. Having helped IHG, Hyatt and Marriott develop their dual-branded hotel concept in Europe, in 2019 Cycas welcomed Accor as its fifth international hotel group partner and in 2020 signed its first deal with Radisson Hotel Group.
With a distinctive performance culture and the philosophy that “our job is not over until we get a smile”, Cycas was recognised as a ‘Best Place to Work in Hospitality’ (2018, 2019 and 2020) and won the UK hospitality industry’s ‘Best Employer Award’ Catey in 2018, for which it was also shortlisted in 2020.
