After almost a 7 months gap, the Uttarakhand tourism ministry has announced restarting adventure tourism in the state. Adventure tourism constitutes one of the major attractions of the state and is expected to resume from today. Guidelines regarding the same would be furnished by the department concerned.
The state tourism department has said that adventure sports activities like water sports, trekking, mountaineering, aero-sports and camping will start immediately. For restarting adventure sports activities, the head of the agency/adventure tour operator will need to submit a letter of permission to the tourism department and offices of the respective district administration.
The adventure company/agency/tour operator owners must ensure that their employees meet the training for prevention of COVID-19. Proper implementation of necessary measures should also be ensured.
