A message from ATEC Managing Director Peter Shelley about the bushfires in Australia

The last few weeks have been devastating for our community and we know many of our member tourism businesses will now be struggling to work out a way forward.
ATEC is sincerely saddened by the loss experienced by so many communities and while our tourism industry is full of strong, determined and resilient people, we will be working to support their recovery over the coming months.
To this extent, we will be working alongside our industry and government partners to develop and implement a recovery strategy as soon as possible. Importantly, at the right time we want to make sure we send a strong message to international visitors that Australia remains open for business.
Meanwhile, we invite feedback from members in bushfire areas as to the status of your business (impacted or operating as normal) which we can compile and distribute to all Inbound Tour Operators and share with Tourism Australia – click here to complete this brief survey.
Please feel free to contact us at atec@atec.net.au if you need advice or want to provide any feedback or ask questions.
