Tel Aviv won the ‘Best International City’ at the 8th edition of the readers’ choice - India’s Best Awards 2019 hosted by Travel + Leisure India & South Asia.
The awards bestowed annually has lakhs of travellers voting for the best experience across 60 categories that range from top hotels, resorts, spas, destinations, airlines and travel service providers adding to the bucket list for 2020. Being a people’s choice awards, Israel competed against several destinations to acquire the winning spot as the crowd favourite in the ‘Best International City’ category.
In light of this victory, Mr. Sammy Yahia – Director, Israel Ministry of Tourism, India & Philippines said, “We are excited and feel grateful to receive this honour and would like to thank all the people who voted for Tel Aviv as the Best International City. We have seen a significant increase in interest among Indian travellers to explore Israel especially owing to its dynamic offerings.
