The Darwin Convention Centre will welcome members of the International Society for the Study of Iron in Biology and Medicine (BioIron Society) from all over the world to the Top End of Australia when Darwin hosts the 2021 Congress. The Darwin Convention Centre worked in close collaboration with Northern Territory Business Events to secure the event.
As an emerging destination for health research, the Northern Territory is an ideal choice to host the Congress. Darwin trumped other international cities bidding for the opportunity to host more than 300 international delegates.
Professor Nathan Subramaniam, Australian Board Member of the BioIron Society, said the Congress will be an opportunity for delegates to have a truly authentic Australian experience.
“The Congress will provide delegates from all around the world the opportunity to experience the Top End of Australia while meeting in world-class facilities to present and discuss the latest research in this field”, added Subramaniam.
