Business travel and meetings start-ups are being invited to apply for one of ten stands in this year’s Launchpad, which is returning to Business Travel Show for its sixth year.
Over the last five years, the Launchpad has been a powerful promotional platform, accelerating brand awareness for a wide range of start-ups among thousands of European corporate travel buyers. Companies under three years old are invited to apply for a Launchpad package, offered at an accessible entry level price and including a 4m 2 shell scheme stand, carpet, furniture, access to the hosted buyer diary and PR and marketing support.
Previous Launchpad exhibitors have included Taptrip and Trooptravel, both of whom have gone on to enjoy incredible success since taking part. Taptrip’s self booking tool is a finalist in the 2020 Business Travel Awards and has been accepted on to the Barclays’ Techstars accelerator. Trooptravel was one of 13 finalists at the Business Travel Innovation Face-Off conference in New York this month and is currently on the IAG’s hangar 51 accelerator programme.
The Business Travel Innovation Face-Off makes its European debut at Business Travel Show in 2020. Featuring presentations from eight disrupters, all set on shaking up the travel and meetings status quo, each of whom will have just seven minutes of uninterrupted airtime to pitch to 150 specially invited buyers, followed by a four-minute Q&A from an expert panel of judges and a public grilling.
Two winners will be selected; one by the judges and a second ‘buyers’ choice’. Both will be announced at the show on the afternoon of 27 th February.
“This is a unique opportunity for start-ups to impress 150 senior corporate travel and procurement managers and blow their minds with their innovative travel and meetings solutions,” commented David Chapple, Portfolio Director UK, Northstar Travel Group.
“It’s also a brilliant chance for our buyers to see eight brand-new and cutting-edge products, technologies and services that have developed to address the key industry challenges they are facing at such an early stage in their journey.”
