Two members of each shortlisted team will be invited to present to a judging panel in London on either 15 or 24 July 2019 and produce a video, before being put forward for a weighted online public vote.
Judges include mia chief executive Jane Longhurst, Carol Primett of Anglian Water and Tracey Powiesnik of Core Process.
Teams must prove that they are innovative, adaptable and able to overcome challenges while collaborating with other departments, and also acknowledge everyone’s involvement, to be in with a chance of securing the prestigious title.
Two team titles will be included on the mia’s roll of honour, recognising both a venue team as well as a supplier and agent team. Alongside 10 individual awards, these will be revealed at an awards lunch on 7 November at Central Hall Westminster.
Jane Longhurst, chief executive of the mia, said: “We are delighted to be unveiling such a strong shortlist for our miaList team awards. Anyone working within the business meetings and events industry understands that collaboration is vital for success, so we are looking forward to recognising the teams who demonstrate this and have made a significant impact on their organisations as a group."
