The Cycling Stars Criterium is the best way to create a tourist season. Here, cycling will be set to play an ever more crucial role in the area of Belluno, which provides a huge variety of opportunities to visitors.
In spring-summer 2019, the ‘menu’ for cycling enthusiasts who will visit the area can start right from relaxing itineraries around Veneto’s villas, to sharp climbs at high altitudes and dirt tracks in lush woods.
On June 7th, the program kick-starts with the ‘Castelli 24 Ore’, a 24-hour cycling race in Feltre. It will take place along a 1,850-meter circuit that begins at 9 pm coming Friday and ends a day later. In the relay race, teams of eight to 12 athletes can take part.
The participants in the race have to be members of the Italian cycling federation (Fci) or of affiliated organizations.
Also, the competition is open to international cyclists belonging to the International Cycling Union.
The Villaronda Bike, endorsed by the Associazione Valbelluna Bike, kicks off on June 9 in Belluno.
This race would be a non-competitive event on public and private roads, dirt tracks, mountain paths and fields in the areas of Ponte nelle Alpi, Sedico, Santa Giustina, Cesiomaggiore, Pedavena, Feltre, Lentiai, Mel, Trichiana and Limana.
For participants, mountain bikes, gravel bikes and electric bikes are advised to be utilized.
