Five Aussie trade partners were recently hosted by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) and Cathay Pacific Airways from 26 to 30 May 2019 for five days to experience firsthand some of Hong Kong’s diverse cultural experiences.
Participants were hosted for two nights each at Cordis Hotel, Langham Place and Gateway Hotel, Marco Polo Hotels on Kowloon.
Highlights included the Tai Chi & Tea Tasting Tour; a visit to Tai Kwun – Hong Kong’s new arts and cultural centre; a return trip to Guangzhou on the High Speed Rail; the Good Evening Kowloon Tour for a glimpse into the local, lively nightlife and food; the Hidden Gems of Old Hong Kong Tour for a fascinating insight into the history and ecology behind Asia’s world city; Come Horse Racing Tour at the famous Happy Valley Racecourse; and the Sham Shui Po Foodie Tour for a taste of the authentic neighbourhood and its unique delicacies.
HKTB Manager, Trade Marketing and Business Tourism for Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific, Lisa Lee said “The purpose of this trip was to showcase Hong Kong’s amazing cultural diversity to our frontline ambassadors.”
