New figures revealed that eight of the 10 busiest international routes from European airports are from Heathrow. Taking the passengers number in account Heathrow is the biggest in Europe and in 2018 it remained dominant in the international routes by carrying the largest numbers of passengers.

The analysis was conducted by Routesonline. For the annual Routes Europe conference the delegates gather in Hanover and  Heathrow to the New York JFK is the first place of link.

On an average eight thousand passengers a day flew the route where two  out of five of them on British Airways.It was stated that Virgin Atlantic had 28.5 per cent of capacity, American Airlines 20.6 per cent and Delta 10.2 per cent.

The JFK route grabbed the first spot and took over Dubai as Qantas and Royal Brunei ended their connections from Heathrow to the UAE Airport.

Heathrow Dublin was in the third place, it is the owner of Aer Lingus and British Airways and is the sole preserve of International Airlines Group.On an average it carried 5,000 passengers a day.

Istanbul’s Ataturk airport to Tehran  carried 4,800 passengers daily is the  first non-Heathrow route is only narrowly a European departure.The switch from the Ataturk to the New Istanbul Airport seems successful at the weekend.

Taking the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth places are -Heathrow to Amsterdam, Los Angeles, Singapore and Hong Kong respectively.

The ninth spot is  taken by Paris CDG to New York JFK, with 4,250 passengers on an average day.

New York JFK is the only airport to feature more than once in the table apart from the Heathrow and the tenth place is between Heathrow and Frankfurt.Tenth place is between Heathrow and Frankfurt.

According to Routesonline the European airlines at 85 per cent the highest average load factor of any region in the world. This implies that out of 200-seat plane, 30 seats were unfilled.
