Perth will be showcased as the host of the 40th annual Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE). Tourism Australia is working with Partner, Tourism Western Australia to deliver ATE19 from 8 to 12 April at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The program will include a mix of business appointments and networking opportunities for Australian tourism operators and international travel buyers representing over 30 countries.
This is the fourth time ATE that has been hosted in Western Australia. It was first held in Perth in 2005, and again in 2008 and 2012.
The economic benefits ATE delivers are significant. Perth can expect an immediate injection of around $9 million to the local economy during the event. Longer term, the event helps to grow Australia’s $100 billion tourism industry through the relationships and future business established at ATE.
