PORT CREDIT, ON. - Adventure Canada has once again taken gold in USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers' Choice travel award contest for Best Adventure Cruise Line, announced January 4, 2019. The original nomination was made by an expert panel and then put forward to the public: for four weeks, votes were accepted for the shortlisted adventure cruise lines.
There were twenty nominees total in the category of Best Adventure Cruise Line. Winning this designation is especially thrilling for Adventure Canada, as the company is one of the smallest expedition cruise lines in the category and operates strictly in a seasonal capacity in specialized regions (including the Canadian Arctic and select North Atlantic destinations).
The nomination panel includes a combination of editors from USA Today, 10Best.com, and expert contributors.
Adventure Canada is a small-ship, family-owned expedition cruise operator, first launched in 1987. At the helm is CEO Cedar Swan, who was among the Canadian travel industry’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2018.
“We are honoured and appreciative of the support both the expert panel and public have shown us,” says Swan. “It is marvelous to know that our passion for adventure, humour, exploration and all-round drive for a deeper understanding of people and places is treasured by so many around the world. It is our great privilege to share the world we know and love with inquisitive minds. We’re extremely proud to have this honour two years in a row.”
