Dagmar Symes has been appointed as General Manager of Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort. His experience in both the hotel and luxury retail industries across Europe and the Middle East will be vital.
Dagmar previously worked in various leading luxury properties in France, Switzerland and Germany. She served as the general manager for the first time at Hotel Chateau Grand Barrail in Saint Emilion, France.
Her journey in the hospitality industry was interspersed with her managerial experience in luxury jewellery business involving the renowned brands such as BVLGARI and Louis Vuitton in Germany and France.
In 2010 she was the manager of Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski, Munich. She was appointed as the pre-opening General Manager for Kempinski Summerland Hotel & Resort in Beirut, Lebanon. After 5 years, she is joining Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar in Northern Oman. Dagmar will be responsible for introducing and overseeing Anantara’s vision of offering unparalleled experiences for its guests, creating remarkable stories for each individual.
Dagmar held the position of Cluster General Manager at Phoenicia InterContinental Hotel in Beirut, Lebanon and Phoenicia Le Vendome InterContinental Hotel. She then joined Minor Hotels in September 2018.
Dagmar wants to take it to new heights and has ‘fallen in love with the breath-taking scenery, the genuine local culture’. She wants to discover all that this astonishing mountain range has to offer.
