BA CityFlyer, a subsidiary of British Airways is expanding its range of flights and will fly a total of 19 times a week from Tegel to London City Airport this winter (2018/19).
This winter, there will be two new connections on Saturday and another on Sunday (from 16 December). Embraer 170 aircraft with 76 seats are used for the route. There are no middle seats in the aircraft, only window and aisle seats. The journey takes just under two hours.
Its proximity to the financial centre means the inner-city airport is particularly popular with business travellers and bankers.
The Docklands Light Railway (DLR) platform is just a few minutes away from the airport. The modern driverless elevated railway runs directly to the “Bank” station in London’s financial district.
Many other destinations in London’s city centre are only about 30 mins away from the airport, which is abbreviated to LCY.
The connection is therefore also ideal for weekend travellers and Christmas shoppers due to its short routes to the City of London. In this city, Christmas will reign supreme from the end of November. Traditional Christmas markets, endless lights, skating and Christmas shopping are just a stone’s throw away from the LCY.
You can book your flights now from here, and book hotels in London and Tegel.
