Kawamura, who tied 39th at The Open after succeeding a runner-up finish at the Mizuno Open, will be contend for the first time in the Fiji International presented by Fiji Airways.
“I am very much looking forward to playing in the Fiji International presented by Fiji Airways, I have heard that the course is challenging but very beautiful,” said Kawamura.
“It has been a busy time preparing for and playing in The Open, so I hope to also enjoy some time relaxing in Fiji and enjoying the beach.”
Fiji has opened up to Japan and is currently just a short Fiji Airways flight away. Credit goes to the new direct route from Tokyo to Nadi, return.
“Japan is our new tourism focus and already we are seeing full Fiji Airways flights landing from Tokyo,” said Minister for Industry, Trade, Tourism, Lands and Mineral Resources, Faiyaz Siddiq Koya.
