In a month known for new beginnings, Four Seasons Hotel Austin announces the launch of an all-new Spa menu.Slated to debut February 1, 2018, the new menu is the last piece of The Spa’s reimagining, which began in spring 2017 with an extensive renovation of the lakefront space and its adjacent fitness centre.
Now, Spa Manager Stacy Gill has completed the final component with a thoughtfully crafted menu of results-driven body treatments, massages and facials, many featuring locally sourced or Austin-inspired ingredients to bring a taste of Texas to the treatment room.
“Each new service aims to connect our guests to Austin in some way, but it was equally important to me that they be exclusive and unlike anything else currently available in the city,” says Gill.
Among the new and noteworthy treatments:
Four Seasons Sensory Experience – The Spa’s signature head-to-toe experience, this treatment features Texas-grown sage and its many proven benefits. Filled with an innovative mix of aromatherapy, acupressure, acu-flex and energy balancing chakra techniques, the 80-minute experience includes a detoxifying dry body brushing and a relaxing full-body massage using local river stones. (USD 225, 80 minutes)
Moisture Equalising Facial – Created with Texas’ ever-changing weather in mind, this classic European-style facial uses emerginC’s innovative products to restore skin’s ability to balance moisture levels and retain a healthy, hydrated glow. (USD 160-210, 50 or 80 minutes)
Lavender Dreams Body Wrap – The calming and balancing benefits of wild lavender take the spotlight in this treatment that begins with an exfoliating Kerstin Florian Turkish salt scrub. Next, lavender essential oil is massaged into the skin and absorbed during a detoxifying and hydrating body wrap. A full-body massage provides the perfect finish. (USD 215, 80 minutes)
Colorado River Stone Massage – The gentle hum of the earth’s energy flows throughout this treatment as smooth, warm stones from the Colorado River – which runs directly behind the Hotel – are applied with light pressure and expert care. (USD 210, 80 minutes)
Two-Step Foot Ritual – Designed to target the most overworked parts of the body, the treatment begins with a leg-and-foot exfoliation using Kerstin Florian’s mineral-rich Turkish salt scrub, followed by a peppermint-infused balm to reduce swelling. Finally, an acu-flex foot massage focuses on key pressure points to alleviate stress and aid with circulation. (USD 90, 30 minutes)
Rounding out the menu are waxing services, as well as a lengthy list of massage and facial enhancements – such as scrubs, peels and vitamin C ampoules – to complement and add to the treatment benefits.
