A new landmark property by Texan hotel company Rosewood Hotels and Resorts has been announced in Vienna. The company, which already operates 17 hotels boasting a total key-count of 2,180 in locations as diverse as Edinburgh, Bangkok and Samui will open the Rosewood Vienna in 2021. This will be the brand’s fifth property in Europe, and will combine modern European flair with classic European sophistication, style and glamour. Housed in a beautiful historic 18th century building which used to be the headquarters of Erste Group Bank AG, Rosewood Vienna will benefit from a generous renovation to a luxury 5-star standard worthy of its history and location.
The new property will be located on Vienna’s idyllic Petersplatz and will offer guests 99 charmingly restored guest rooms and suites spread over the property’s various floors. The rooms will be spacious and comfortable, providing space for relaxation and entertainment in separate areas within the suites themselves. The design of both the renovation and the new interiors will be the product of a collaboration between local firm BEHF Corporate Architects and London-based Alexander Waterworth Interiors. As well as state of the art spa and wellness facilities, one of the hotel’s crowning features will be a rooftop bar which will afford 360 degree views out over the classical beauty of Vienna, one of Europe’s most picturesque cities. Guests will experience the best of both world’s in the Rosewood Vienna – an urban retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet close to all of the excitement and wonder that Vienna has to offer. There will also be a collection of events and meeting spaces for business travelers and corporate occasions.
