Celebrity Revolution renovation programme by Celebrity Cruises will begin in 2019 and see an investment of $400 million on modernization and upgradation of its fleet over five years.
Lisa Lutoff-Perlo the president and chief executive said that the overhaul has been the largest investment that has ever been made to renovate the ships.
The revamp programme will have the redesigning and configuration of all staterooms across the Celebrity’s nine ships and the new sun deck, refurbished lounge and new café on four of its ship.
Lutoff-Perlo added that with the Celebrity Revolution they will raise the bar in modern luxury travel and celebrity cruises are recognised as an innovative, trend-setting brand.
According to the line the accommodation refit will be created by interior design consultancy Hirsch Bedner Associates will be replacing the current layout, décor, bidding and storage onboard Celebrity’s ship to provide a sleek, contemporary and comfortable look.
Brian Abel, vice-president hotel operations that the staterooms are not just redesigned but are being teared down and built back again.
There will be a new Retreat Sun Deck and a revitalized Retreat Lounge where the passengers can relish complimentary beverages, gourmet bites and live entertainment.
There will be an international marketplace with globally-infused menus in the Oceanview Café which will feature exclusive onboard Celebrity Constellation, Celebrity Infinity, Celebrity Millennium and Celebrity Summit.
