Followed by a vote in Malta, where majority of the Celebrity’s ships are registered, LGBT marriages is legalised on Celebrity Cruises’ ships.
The line considered this to be ‘a historic first’ and the move came after the Malta’s government voted by 66-1 to legalise the same -sex marriage in July.

The president and chief executive of Celebrity Cruises, Lisa Lutoff-Perlo mentioned that the cruise line always supported the LGBTQ+ community and this was the right time to do support them.
She was thrilled to announce the start of LGBT marriage while in international waters.
The Nautical Nupitals at Sea package will be inclusive of ceremony led by the ship’s captain. The event co-ordinator wil arrange for live music, photography, bouquet etc.
