Do you know how many people apply to Schengen visa in 2015 in order to visit the Europe’s popular tourist destinations? European Commission announced the Schengen visa statistics for 2015. The statistics show the number of visas issued by each Schengen state as well as number of applications and rejections.

In 2015, statistics show that Russia ranks number one worldwide in Schengen visa recipients, followed by China and Ukraine. Turkey ranked in fourth place and Belarus in fifth.
A total of 3.467.317 visas are applied by the Russian travelers and 3.415.432 of them are issued; the level of visa denials remains one of the world’s lowest - 1.3 percent.
2.381.818 visas are applied by the Chinese travelers. 2.308.591 visas are issued; the level of visa denials is 2.8%.
On the other hand, the top Schengen states that issued visas are: France (3.356.165), Italy (2.023.343), Germany (2.022.870), Spain (1.629.753), and Poland (970.907).
