Originally established in 1875, the Palace is San Francisco’s first-ever luxury hotel. A landmark of the city, the Palace Hotel has prevailed throughout history and evolved with the times. With the introduction of the new Palace in 1909, the award-winning 1989 restoration, and the recent multi-million-dollar renovation as part of The Luxury Collection brand’s investment effort to renovate and reopen some of the most iconic hotels in North America, the Palace has remained an icon in the city of San Francisco. Featuring original architectural elements from 1909 such as the breathtaking Garden Court, the Maxfield Parrish Pied Piper of Hamelin painting, the Gold Service China and a collection of vintage crystal chandeliers, the Palace Hotel’s former grandeur is brought to life as a modern-day beacon of luxury.
