Ει βούλει καλώς ακούειν, μάθε καλώς λέγειν, μαθών δε καλώς λέγειν, πειρώ καλώς πράττειν, και ούτω καρπώση το καλώς ακούειν. (Επίκτητος)

JetBlue’s award-winning approach to premium travel – Mint - will launch between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The new service will offer a new flat-bed experience with curated amenities for travelers across Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood, Miami and South Florida.
JetBlue named Fort Lauderdale as the first of four U.S. cities to launch the next wave of Mint flights, as JetBlue executes its plan to expand Mint nationally on transcontinental routes. Seats are on sale starting today with introductory fares starting at $399 one way (a). The first FLL - LAX flight will be on March 20, 2017.
“We saw that the outdated and outrageously priced ‘business class’ offered by other carriers was a sore spot for travelers,” said Marty St. George, executive vice president commercial and planning, JetBlue. “Our freshly designed, affordable take on premium travel is winning us customers in New York, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and we expect it to do the same in Fort Lauderdale and beyond.”
JetBlue’s expansion of Mint will allow the airline to capture an immediate opportunity to introduce competition in east and west coast markets where customers are faced with a decreasing number of choices and where other carriers sell dated business class options at a high cost.
This wave of Mint expansion will bring new transcontinental competition to Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, San Diego and Seattle for the first time – while also increasing options from New York (JFK), Boston, Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco. Mint service between Fort Lauderdale and San Francisco International Airport (SFO) will start later in 2017. Once completed, JetBlue will offer up to 70-plus daily Mint flights to 12 destinations across the east coast, west coast and Caribbean.
Mint aircraft include the longest fully-flat bed seating in the U.S. domestic premium market (b), fully enclosed private suites and a 15-inch flat screen with complimentary entertainment options. Favorite Mint features include a signature cocktail, a tapas-style menu by New York City restaurant Saxon + Parole, fresh espresso from the first purpose-built cappuccino machine for a U.S. airline, amenity kits by Birchbox, and dessert from Blue Marble and Mah-ze-Dahr Bakery.
