ANA, Japan’s largest airline, will double the frequency of its flights between Narita and Ho Chi Minh City to two flights per day from October 30, 2016. As a result of this increased frequency, the number of US cities accessible from Narita within three hours of arrival from Ho Chi Minh City will increase from 4 to 10 (including flights operated by ANA’s joint venture partner United Airlines).
ANA’s current schedule consists of a single daily flight operating between the two airports, leaving Narita in the evening and returning to Narita early in the morning, allowing passengers to transit both to and from flights between Narita and North America, for which passenger demand is high. The additional Ho Chi Minh City flight will depart Narita at night, arriving back in the evening. This greatly improves convenience for passengers traveling from Japan, and creates more opportunities for passengers from Ho Chi Minh City to transfer at Narita to and from North America.
