Iberia and TAM, both of them members of the oneworld alliance, and TAM a member of the LATAM Airlines group, have extended their code-sharing agreement to offer more connection possibilities to their customers in Brazil and Europe.
Starting recently the two carriers will code share each other’s Madrid-São Paulo-Madrid flights, Iberia’s Madrid-Rio de Janeiro-Madrid flights, and the São Paulo-Barcelona-São Paulo flight that TAM will operate starting on the 1st of October.
The extended agreement will enable customers to book flights using both airlines on a single ticket, and will expand flight and connection options on these routes.
Since 18th December, Iberia and TAM customers have been able to fly between Brazilian and European destinations on a single ticket.
Iberia customers arriving in Brazil can continue their journeys on TAM flights from Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo to the Brazilian cities of Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, Fortaleza, Natal, Salvador, Florianopolis, Curitiba, Manaus, Porto Alegre, and Recife.
TAM passengers arriving in Madrid can fly with Iberia to Barcelona, Rome, Zurich, Dusseldorf, Geneva, Venice, Tenerife, Bilbao, and Asturias.
As oneworld members, both TAM and Iberia also offer exclusive advantage to their frequent flyers programme members, who can earn and redeem points/Avios across the two airlines.
