The World’s Most Luxurious Ship Comes to the Caribbean: Seven Seas Explorer to Make North American Debut at PortMiami

Seven Seas Explorer, the world’s most luxurious ship, will make its North American debut by sailing into the cruise capital of the world, Miami, on Dec. 2, 2016. As part of its inaugural Caribbean season, the all-suite, all-balcony 750-guest luxury liner will sail two roundtrip voyages from PortMiami to idyllic island oases before heading west on a Panama Canal cruise.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises shared today the last remaining voyages for the 2016 season, which included four new voyages aboard Seven Seas Explorer and three sailings aboard the 490-guest Seven Seas Navigator. While Seven Seas Explorer is making its way to North America for the last few weeks of 2016, Seven Seas Navigator is charting a course for exotic South African ports.

Seven Seas Explorer has been a labor of love for our CEO, Frank Del Rio, Executive Vice President of Vessel Operations, Robin Lindsay and the entire Regent Seven Seas Cruises team, so it’s exciting to have this ship, the most luxurious ship ever built, make its North American debut in our hometown of Miami,” said Jason Montague, President and Chief Operating Officer for Regent Seven Seas Cruises.  “With two roundtrip sailings from Miami and a maiden Panama Canal cruise, we’re providing guests the opportunity to experience the unprecedented luxury Seven Seas Explorer will offer with the convenience of departing from a domestic homeport.”

Seven Seas Explorer will ring in the New Year with a 16-night Grand Canal Crossing from Miami to Los Angeles with stops throughout the Caribbean and Central America.

Seven Seas Navigator will spend a majority of the year exploring the impressive history and world-class cuisine of the Mediterranean, a departure from the ships traditional residence in Alaska. In total, the ship will sail 20 Mediterranean voyages before embarking on a 24-night African Expedition on Oct. 23 which culminates in Cape Town. The ship will continue its exploration of Africa on a 15-night Sumptuous Safaris voyage on Nov. 16 before finishing off the year with an exotic 35-night sailing from Cape Town to Miami. All three African voyages will offer complimentary pre- or post-cruise African Safaris for guests booked in a Concierge Suite or higher.

For the entire 2016 cruise season, the line’s four all-suite luxury ships will chart diverse courses, offering unforgettable travel experiences while exploring coveted destinations across the world. In total, the Regent Seven Seas Cruises fleet will visit nearly 350 ports around the globe including several overnight stays in the world’s most sought-after destinations.
