Estonian Air carried 11.3% more passengers in March

In March 2015, Estonian Air carried altogether 45 472 passengers, an increase of 11.3% compared to the same month last year when Estonian Air carried 40 841 passengers. In March Estonian Air operated 1008 flights, an increase of 17.5%.

During the last two months the number of passengers has shown upward trend that has been influenced by increased number of flights and destinations, and improved cabin factor. “We are very pleased to see that this March our operations had the best bottom-line result in March in many years,”said Indrek Randveer, the CCO of Estonian Air.

“This year Estonian Air resumed summer seasonal flights much earlier than last year, which also had a positive influence on the results.  In the first part of March we resumed flights to Paris and Berlin and in the beginning of April to Vienna and Nice. In addition, in the end of April we will add flights to Split which was very well received already last year, and Milan – a new destination in our summer flights network,” added Randveer.

In the first three months Estonian Air carried altogether 113 931 passengers, an increase of 3.0% compared to 2014. In the same period, Estonian Air operated 2629 flights, which is 12.6% more compared to the same period last year.

The 15-minute punctuality of Estonian Air flights in the first three months was 93.1% and the regularity 98.5%. In March the punctuality was 91.0 and regularity 97.0 percentage.

Estonian Air is aiming to provide Estonia with reliable and regular double daily connections to destinations of strategic importance and of substantial demand. Being a small country on the periphery of Europe, Estonia depends on such connections, and Estonian Air is committed to provide these services.

Estonian Air, Estonia’s national carrier, is the biggest operator at Tallinn Airport. The airline flies regular routes to Stockholm (Arlanda and Bromma), Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Brussels, Oslo, Moscow, St Petersburg, Kiev, Vilnius and Trondheim.

From December 2014 to October 2015, Estonian Air operates seasonal flights to Munich. In addition, from March to October 2015, Estonian Air flies to Paris and Berlin, from April to October to Nice, Vienna and Split, and from April to November to Milan.
