GIRONA, SPAIN—DoubleTree by Hilton opened its latest upscale property in Spain . URH Hotel Girona has undergone a refresh and is now operating as the DoubleTree by Hilton Girona under a franchise agreement with Hilton Worldwide.
The hotel will continue to be owned and operated by URH & Co. Hoteliers under the new leadership of General Manager Pere Vila. The 115-room contemporary hotel, which includes six furnished suites, is centrally located and provides access to the city’s Auditorium and Congress Centre.
The hotel is within walking distance from Girona attractions, including the historic Old Town and its Jewish Quarter, Girona Cathedral and the Arab Baths.
Guests can eat authentic Catalan cuisine at the Restaurant Sargantana. The rooftop bar, Urbanroof, will offer cocktails and snacks and views of the city. The hotel has more than 2,000 sq. ft. of meeting and banquet facilities across three flexible spaces, as well as a 24-hour complimentary business center and dedicated catering and events team.
