Barceló Atenea Mar is a modern 4 star hotel that represents the new Barceló’s Urban Beach concept.
It is only 150 meters from the Nova Mar Bella beach and, at the same time, only 15 minutes from the CCIB Convention Centre and the Diagonal Mar shopping Centre. Thus, it’s the perfect choice to combine a business trip with some leisure time in Barcelona.
You can even do both: in the morning go running along the seacoast, and after an after a healthy and plentiful breakfast, take care of your sun tanning at the beach club in front of the hotel while checking your emails (free WiFi). And once relaxed, either leave to your meetings in the city centre by bus, underground or even bicycle, or stay at the hotel and do your business in one of its 5 business rooms which are naturally lit and can hold up to 400 people.
The hotel has 191 rooms, 90% of which have a sea view. All of them will be refurbished, as of January, in order to be ready for the Summer season opening. This renovation also includes the incorporation of a swimming pool which will be located in the terrace of the hotel, transforming this spot in a marvellous sky corner in which to enjoy the best sunsets of the Mediterranean.
Barceló Atenea Mar is also a great hotel for “foodies”, as it´s seaside restaurant La Terrasa has become a very well known place to eat delicious rice dishes and to drink some of the best gin tonics in Barcelona.
